A Gift of Flowers .....
Cool Water
Roses
When I first laid eyes on this
beautiful purple rose called Cool Water my heart
just skip a beat. I remembered the day
clearly how I was introduced to this purple rose.
It was during my older sister's wedding day. She
used the purple roses in her bridal bouquet and
in the bridesmaid's bouquets.
During that time I was very young and I didn't know
much about flowers or flower arrangements. I
asked my older sister what the name of the
purple rose was
called and she didn't know what the name was called. So
my mission in life after the wedding was search
and find the name of the purple roses. It was so
hard to find a florist in Vancouver, BC that
carries the purple roses in their flower shops. Just when I was about to give up. I
saw a light at the end of the tunnel. During my
younger sister's wedding she also used the
purple roses in her bridal bouquet and in the
centre pieces too. I asked her what the name of the
purple roses was called. She didn't know what the
name was called too. But the cool thing was that she gave
me the centre piece after the wedding, so I
could use the centre piece as a flower arrange in my little
townhouse. So the next day I took the purple
rose to Garden Works a nursery close to my
little townhouse. In Garden Works there's a little
flower shop. And every time I go there. I
imagined myself one day will have a flower shop
just
like that. Anyways I asked one of the florist
that works there
what the name of the purple rose was called and I
showed her the purple rose I have and instantly she
told me the name of the rose. It's called Cool
Water. From that day on. I was in love with a
rose called Cool Water. Cool Water roses are
such easy roses to work with. It could go with
any kind of flowers you like and any shade of
the color in the color spectrum. In this bridal
bouquet I arranged the bridal bouquet with pink color calla
lilies and white and pink color tulips.
Below is a another bridal bouquet which I designed for one
of my client. I used pink calla lilies, lime
green orchids, pink wax flowers and Salal. So as
you could see and imagine Cool Water roses are a beautiful
and easy
option to use in wedding floral designs..
